Using the mix is easy! start with removing as much of the old soil as possible. Gently squeeze the pot while holding it sideways to loosen up the plant. Run the roots under lukewarm tap water to remove the last pieces and bits.
Also, make sure to remove any dead foliage that may still be on the plant using scissors. Now your plant is ready for its fresh Ficus soil. Add a small layer of Ficus mix at the bottom of the pot.
Place the plant in the pot, and slowly add Ficus soil to the sides to fill it up. Make sure that the point where the roots meet the plant is just buried under the Ficus soil.
Lightly pat the Ficus mix down into the pot. Make sure to water the Ficus mix thoroughly after repotting, as this helps settle the mix and roots down.
Ficus usually have large, bulky roots. The extra husk and perlite give the roots the space they need. Added activated carbon detoxifies the roots from rot and mould problems. Combine this with extra added horticultural sand for a denser and better draining mix and you have yourself the perfect Ficus mix.
The ficus contains a large number of species ranging from shrubs to vines & trees. Most of these are native to the tropical areas of East Asia. They are commonly referred to as figs. The ficus comes from a substrate that drains relatively quickly, the environment however is usually moist. This ficus mix mimics that environment.
Most ficus plants enjoy bright light, however, watch out for direct sunlight as that can burn their leaves. Most ficus also cannot take low temperatures or cold winds. Be sure to keep the temperature above 15°C.
Ficus prefers relatively high humidity. If you do live in a dry area, be sure to mist your plant every now and then. Do wait for the top of the ficus mix of the plant to dry out before watering again. They do not like to have wet roots. Ficus are rapid growers and require a steady supply of nutrients.
The most common issue with Ficus is the loss of leaves, there can be many reasons for this. It is a reaction to stress. The most common reasons include over- and underwatering of the ficus mix, low humidity and too little light. Try to place your ficus in a brighter spot and spray it down if leaves do drop off.

You can store SYBASoil for about 2 years. Make sure to store it cool, dark and closed off. The effectiveness of the nutrients can degrade over the years. Simply add some fresh worm castings to give the soil new life.
We recommend repotting once any of these things happen:
- You see roots growing out of the bottom of the pot
- The soil dries very quickly between watering
- The plant is top-heavy and wants to fall over
- Roots are pushing the plant up and out of the container
- Every 1 to 2 years

J’ai rempoté le ficus qui était avec de la terre de jardin améliorée, avec le mélange ficus de sybotanica et depuis, il refait de nouvelles feuilles…..
Le terreau m’a sauver un pied de ficus mais cependant le 2eme a perdue toutes ses feuilles… j’attend la fin de la canicule pour qu’il puisse se remettre de ses émotions
J’ai commencé à avoir des plantes vertes chez moi depuis avril 2026 et maintenant je ne peux absolument plus m’en passer. Grace à vos produits je suis sur de donner la meilleure chose pour mes bébés 💚

Nooit gedacht dat potgrond zo een verschil kon maken. Wat ik nu ook doe is mijn balkonplanten ook in Sybotanica zetten. Mijn planten zien er beter uit, bijna een wortelrot meer te zien. En sinds ik de speciale potten gebruik heb ik daar ook geen last meer van.
Ny jord och vintersol börjar sätta fart på min benjaminfikus.
Mon ficus avait de la peine avec son terreau universel, qui n’était pas du tout adapté pour lui. J’ai hâte de voir le résultat du rempotage. Le format des paquets de terreau est super pratique !

Bonjour j'ai changé le substrat, et il a perdu toutes ses feuilles, il est près de la fenêtre je pense qu'il n'aime pas cette terre, d'ici 1 mois je vais lui mettre son ancienne marque spéciale terre d'agrumes. Mais celle pour ficus une cata..

1 ficus sur 2 tire la tronches depuis que jai changer je suis déçu il a les feuilles toutes retomber molles et elle jaunisse au fur et a mesure et tombent

Hab bereits meine gummibäume in eure spezielle erde umgetopft. Blätter bilden sich langsam. Meine Sygnonium mottled steht noch nicht so lang in der neuen spezialerde aber erstes Ergebnis: die Blätter hängen nicht mehr. Das wars auch schon. Bin aber begeistert und werde auch weiterhin bei euch bestellen, wenn Bedarf besteht. LG Monika

Mein Ficus hat mit dem Umzug sehr gelitten und verlor fast alle seine Blätter. Jetzt bekommt er neue Erde und darf wieder neu austreiben.

Top ervaring met Sybotanica! In eerste instantie de verkeerde grond ontvangen maar dit werd heel snel gecorrigeerd en het advies mbt verpotten was top! M’n ficus doet het onwijs goed en bloeit enorm op in deze nieuwe potgrond 🙌🏼 Dank!
Rempotage de mon ficus Mon ficus benjamina qui me vient de ma mere perdait de plus en plus de feuilles. Je l'ai rempoté dans le meme pot deja gros ,oté la vieille terre en utilisant ficus mix. Au bout d'un mois il perd moins de feuilles mais ne crois pas (encore j'espère)
Très bien ! Utilisé il y a peu de temps pour mon pilea, j'attends de voir comment il va évoluer. Vu la qualité des terreaux, je ne suis pas inquiète.
So far, so good, Ficus is super happy already after only two weeks The soil is really of premium quality, basically this is Terra Preta, the magical soil that can turn regular gardens into rainforests! The charcoal and porous rock hold on to water so that the roots can then extract the water when needed. The worm castings give optimal feed, while the coconut fibres allow for air and good flow / drainage. Our ficus is already super happy, just two weeks after repotting and adding in this amazing specialist soil. The ficus was suffering and needed a drastic change or upgrade in pot size and soil type. New leaves have now started growing and the existing leaves are looking healthier than ever. The repotting into a larger pot did of course help as well, as did the cleaning of the leaves with seaweed nutrient and water and neem oil. I look forward to seeing how the Ficus will appreciate the SyBotanica soil mix but the first signs are excellent.
